INOCA — Semi Automated Vaccination Delivery

Vaccination strategies in salmon farming have changed in the last few years. Increasingly we are seeing one, two and three intraperitoneal (IP) vaccines being delivered to each fish. We have also seen the advent of the increasingly popular intramuscular vaccine being delivered at the same time as the IP vaccination. This is difficult to carry out with manual vaccination.

New vaccines are increasingly being developed for new species like tilapia and pangasius but there is no vaccine delivery technology that’s been developed with these species in mind.

Coupled with this and the onset of the coronavirus, Aqualife committed to building a semi automatic vaccination system that could as easily as possible switch between different vaccination strategies and also work with different species.

Our patent pending INCA unit was conceived in March 2020 and the first commercial unit will be available in Summer 2021. This system requires less than half the operators of a tradition manual vaccination team and requires little training as fish are simply fed into it.

The concept has been designed to be simple, small, light and extremely quiet when compared to other systems on the market and can quickly and easily switch between vaccination strategies and species at the touch of a button.
